City’s warming station to continue through Tuesday with new hours

Birmingham, AL – Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing on Monday, Dec. 26. In response, the City of Birmingham, with Jimmie Hale Mission and Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, will close its warming station at 10 a.m. for cleanup. It will re-open the station at 7 p.m. on Monday through 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Those needing warm shelter can come to the BJCC South Exhibition Hall, located at 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North. Food will be provided.
