Gary Palmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Palmer, who succeeded Spencer Bachus in office, is known for his active engagement in political discourse.

On March 5, 2025, Palmer addressed the topic of women’s sports. He expressed that protecting women requires more than symbolic gestures and emphasized the importance of voting to maintain gender-specific sports categories. “Protecting women takes more than wearing pink. A tangible way to do so would be voting to keep men out of women and girls’ sports.”

In another tweet on the same day, Palmer credited former President Trump for a significant decrease in illegal border crossings. He claimed that Trump’s leadership led to a 94% reduction in such encounters and praised current efforts to enhance national security. “Illegal alien encounters at the border are down 94% thanks to President Trump’s leadership. @POTUS is making America SAFE again!”

Later that day, Palmer commented on what he perceives as a shift away from “woke” policies within the government. He celebrated this change as a return to common sense under current White House leadership. “Our country will be woke no longer.” Common sense is BACK in the White House!”
