Gary Palmer, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently posted a series of tweets regarding upcoming media appearances and internship opportunities in his office.

On January 8, 2026, Palmer announced an appearance on a radio show, posting: “I’m about to be on with @TheJoeyClark.

The following day, he shared information about internship applications for his Congressional offices: “Apply here https://t.co/OCWq07OyPz” and “Are you interested in serving as an intern in a Congressional office? Applications for summer internships in our Birmingham and D.C. offices are open until February 13! https://t.co/5UtxnWkF3f”, both dated January 9, 2026.

Palmer has represented Alabama’s 6th District since replacing Spencer Bachus in Congress in 2015. Born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954, Palmer is currently 68 years old and resides in Hoover. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 1977.
