Gary Palmer, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, addressed a range of topics in recent posts on his social media account, including Constitution Day, employment decisions at Auburn University, and the anniversary of the U.S. Air Force.

On September 17, 2025, Palmer marked Constitution Day by stating, “On this #ConstitutionDay, let us remember the wisdom of our founders in crafting our Constitution that has served us well for 238 years by protecting our God-given rights, and let us rededicate ourselves to preserving the results of their wisdom for generations to come.”

Later that day, he commented on Auburn University’s decision regarding employee conduct: “Thank you @AuburnU for making the right decision to fire the employees that mocked the death of Charlie Kirk. The decision to terminate these employees for their callous and inflammatory comments was proper and reflects well on the values represented by Auburn University and its” (September 17, 2025).

On September 18, Palmer recognized a military milestone: “Today marks the 78th birthday of the @usairforce! Alabama is the proud home of Maxwell Air Force Base, which serves as headquarters to Air University – the intellectual and leadership development center of the Air and Space Forces. Please join me in honoring the brave men and”

Palmer was born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954 and currently resides in Hoover. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Maxwell Air Force Base is located in Alabama and serves as an important hub for military education through Air University.
