Gary Palmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared several updates on his professional engagements and legislative activities through social media posts.

On January 22, 2025, Palmer expressed his enthusiasm for new collaborative efforts within the government. He stated: “Looking forward to serving with @PeteSessions on the Subcommittee on Government Operations and @RepEricBurlison on the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs. Let’s get to work!”

Later that day, he presided over a significant legislative session in the House of Representatives. Palmer remarked: “Honored to preside over the House Floor during debate on S. 5 – The Laken Riley Act. This legislation by @SenKatieBritt and @RepMikeCollins will make our communities safer. I look forward to voting in favor of this bill and sending it to President Trump’s desk later today.”

On January 23, 2025, Palmer conveyed his support for a specific piece of legislation aimed at protecting infant lives. He affirmed: “I proudly voted in favor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act because I believe innocent lives deserve to be protected. It should NOT be controversial for a baby to receive life-saving medical care after surviving a botched abortion.”
