Gary Palmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared several updates on social media regarding his appearances and policy positions. Born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954, Palmer is a graduate of the University of Alabama and currently resides in Hoover.

On May 13, Palmer announced his upcoming appearance on Fox Business with a post stating “I’m about to be on live with @FoxBusiness Be sure to tune in!”.

In a subsequent post on May 14, Palmer addressed Medicaid eligibility by asserting that “If you are legally eligible for Medicaid, you will be able to keep Medicaid.” He emphasized the importance of securing Medicaid for vulnerable populations while excluding illegal immigrants and those who are able but refuse to work from obtaining coverage.

Later that day, Palmer expressed gratitude towards hosts Dagen McDowell and Jason Chaffetz for having him on The Bottom Line show on Fox Business. He reiterated his commitment to Medicaid security by stating “I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- @HouseGOP is working to secure Medicaid for vulnerable populations and generations to come.”
