Gary Palmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared several updates on social media regarding his meetings and opinions on governmental issues. Born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954, Palmer resides in Hoover and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama.
On December 5, 2024, Palmer tweeted about a meeting with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to discuss collaboration between DOGE and the DOGE Caucus aimed at reducing government waste. “It was great meeting with @elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy today to discuss how @DOGE and the DOGE Caucus can work together to eliminate government waste.”
The following day, December 6, he expressed enthusiasm for controlling government spending through the DOGE initiative. He thanked Bottom Line FBN for hosting him to discuss these efforts. “We MUST get our spending under control. Excited about how the DOGE effort will eliminate waste and modernize our government. Later that same day, Palmer voiced his support for states taking action to protect children, urging the Supreme Court to uphold their rights. “The Supreme Court should uphold the rights of Tennessee, Alabama, and the other 25 states that are taking action to protect our children.”
