Gary Palmer, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared several funding allocations via his social media account. The tweets provide insight into various financial distributions for international and domestic initiatives.

On June 3, 2025, Palmer highlighted a series of funding efforts including “$500,000 for electric busses in Rwanda,” “$2.1 million for climate resilience in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and East Africa,” and “$6 million for supporting media organizations and civic life of Palestinians.”

In another tweet on the same day, he noted the allocation of “$1 million for programs to strengthen the resilience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer global movements” as well as “$2.5 million for teaching young children how to make environmentally friendly ‘reproductive health’ decisions.”

Further financial support was detailed in an additional post from June 3rd where Palmer mentioned “$8,000 for promoting vegan food in Zambia,” alongside “$5.1 million to strengthen the ‘resilience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer global movements,'” and “$4 million for ‘sedentary migrants’ in Colombia.”
