Gary Palmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 6th district, has shared a series of tweets touching upon legislation and his faith. Palmer, who has served since 2015 after succeeding Spencer Bachus, also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and resides in Hoover.

On April 17, 2025, Palmer addressed businesses’ concerns related to government regulations in his tweet, saying, “For far too long, American businesses have been kept in the dark regarding government agency rules and regulations. This is unacceptable and why I introduced the ALERT Act.” He provided a link for further information about the ALERT Act, a legislative proposal to increase transparency in governmental regulation.

On April 18, 2025, Palmer shared a quote from the Bible in celebration of Good Friday, “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5 He added, “I hope everyone has a blessed Good Friday,” connecting his work and personal beliefs to his constituents.

In another faith-oriented tweet on April 20, 2025, Palmer extended Easter wishes, quoting another verse from the Bible, “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” – Matthew 28:6. He wrote, “I hope everyone has a blessed Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Savior,” thus using this opportunity to convey a message of hope and connection to his followers during Easter celebrations.

Gary Palmer, born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954, continues to engage with his constituents through social media, balancing discussions on political initiatives and personal reflections on faith.
