Gary Palmer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, recently shared updates regarding his engagements and acknowledgments. Palmer, who succeeded Spencer Bachus, continues to be actively involved in community events and public service.
On April 11, 2025, Palmer attended the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast, where he had the opportunity to speak to attendees. He expressed his gratitude to Chamber Director Brenda Dennis and Mayor Al Kelley for their efforts and hosting the event. “It was a pleasure speaking at the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast this morning. In a tweet dated April 14, 2025, Palmer extended his gratitude to the U.S. Air Force Reserve in commemoration of their 77th anniversary. He acknowledged the dedication of the men and women who serve in protecting the nation. “Join me in celebrating 77 years of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and thanking the brave men and women protecting our country!”
Later on April 14, 2025, Palmer commented on his visit to Wetumpka, where he met with several local mayors, including Mayor Jerry Willis of Wetumpka, Mayor Al Kelley of Millbrook, and Mayor Bill Gillespie Jr. of Prattville. “Enjoyed stopping by Wetumpka on Friday and visiting with Mayor Jerry Willis, Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley, and Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie Jr.”
Gary Palmer, aged 68, was born in Hackleburg, Alabama, in 1954, and he lives in Hoover. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama, obtained in 1977.
