Gary Palmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, has recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. These tweets provide insight into his stance on education, public safety, and cultural topics.

On May 6, 2025, Palmer expressed gratitude towards educators by acknowledging National Teacher Appreciation Day. He encouraged others to join him in recognizing the dedication of teachers who contribute to shaping future generations. “Happy National Teacher Appreciation Day! Join me in thanking teachers that dedicate their lives to helping develop future generations.”

The following day, May 7, 2025, Palmer addressed concerns regarding sanctuary cities and public safety. He highlighted an incident involving an illegal alien wanted for child rape residing near a daycare facility as an example of the potential risks these cities pose to American citizens. “This is the reality of the potential dangers brought to our communities by sanctuary cities- an illegal alien wanted for child rape was living in the same building as a daycare facility. Sanctuary cities put American citizens in harm’s way.”

On May 8, 2025, Palmer shared a more lighthearted message with his followers by posting about the “Gulf of America,” suggesting it as an updated postcard theme. “In case anyone needs an updated post card. #GulfofAmerica”

Gary Palmer was born in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954 and currently resides in Hoover. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977.
