Gary Palmer, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 6th district since 2015, has recently shared updates on legislative and regulatory developments through his social media accounts.

On November 18, 2025, Palmer expressed support for election legislation in a post stating, “The Citizen Ballot Protection Act is a great step towards protecting American elections. I’m thankful that Senator Britt is championing this legislation in the Senate.”

The following day, on November 19, Palmer announced his participation in local media with the message: “I’m live on Alabama’s Morning News with JT on @1055WERC. Be sure to tune in!”

Later that same day, he commented on environmental policy changes by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), writing: “On Monday, the @EPA announced a proposed rule that would establish a commonsense definition of WOTUS, providing clarity for American farmers, ranchers, energy producers, businessowners, and landowners. This is long overdue and a win for the American people!”

Palmer has served as Alabama’s 6th district representative since replacing Spencer Bachus in 2015. He was born in Hackleburg in 1954 and currently resides in Hoover. Palmer graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977.
