Conference USA announced its postseason beach volleyball awards on May 1, with Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant from the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning first-team all-conference honors and being named the league’s Pair of the Year. Freshman Ava Grace Knott was also recognized, securing a spot on the second team.
The recognition highlights significant achievements for UAB’s program this season. Haas earned her fourth career all-conference honor, having been named to the first team in 2023, 2025, and now 2026, with a second-team selection in 2024. Stant repeated as a first-team selection after previously earning that distinction in 2025. Together, Haas and Stant became the program’s first American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Americans and set a school record with 29 wins during the season. They also hold first and second place on UAB’s all-time individual wins list.
Knott teamed up with senior Olivia Chychrun for one of UAB’s most successful pairings ever, recording 27 match victories—second-most by any duo in program history—and setting a new freshman wins record at UAB.
Other major conference honors included Ava Koehl from Florida Atlantic as Freshman of the Year and Eyal Zimet from Tulane as Coach of the Year. The full lists for First Team All-Conference included athletes from Florida Atlantic, FIU (Florida International University), Tulane, and UAB; Second Team selections featured players from those schools along with Missouri State and USF (University of South Florida). The All-Freshman Team recognized standouts across several programs.
The awards underscore both individual excellence among Blazers athletes this year as well as continued growth for UAB’s beach volleyball program.
