Jefferson County Deputy Placed on Administrative Leave Pending Investigation

A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation resulting from the issuance of warrants for promoting prostitution in the 3rd degree.  The 25-year-old deputy, Jerrod Moore was assigned to the corrections division at the time the warrants were issued.  Moore turned himself in to the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham around 3:30 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022.  He has been released on bond.  Both are misdemeanor charges.
