Male Killed in Apparent Hit and Run

Shortly before 2 AM this morning, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Carson Road near 16th Terrace Circle NW in Centerpoint, to investigate the report of a body in the roadway. Deputies arrived on scene to find a 50-year-old male who had been struck by a vehicle that had apparently left the scene.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is on scene and conducting an investigation into the hit and run. Carson Road has been closed temporarily, but is expected to reopen soon. If you have any information on this accident, please call 205–325–1450, option 2.
