Former Vestavia Hills High School standout Will Daniel and the Mississippi Choctaws were defeated 7-5 by the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks in an NCAA Division II baseball matchup Saturday, March 7, at 4 p.m.

The game, played at the AUM Baseball Complex, marked the third meeting between the teams this season. The Choctaws had previously defeated the Warhawks 9-3 in an earlier contest on Saturday, March 7.

Daniel pitched 0.2 innings, giving up four earned runs, walking two and striking out one.

The Choctaws are set to face the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans next on Friday, March 20, at 5 p.m. at Jackson Field.
