On March 1, 2023, investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s Vice and Narcotics Division were conducting an investigation in the area near a location where they had received multiple complaints of drug activity.  During the investigation, detectives observed activity consistent with possible drug transactions near 41st Way North.  A stop was performed on a vehicle that had been identified as participating in the potentially illegal activity for a traffic violation.

During the stop, 29-year-old Waymon Lanar Robinson was found to be in possession of trafficking amounts of fentanyl, as well as a firearm.  Robinson was taken into custody and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on drug trafficking charges.  Possible additional charges and bond amounts are pending completion of the investigation.
