One Killed in Two Vehicle Crash

Around 6:40 PM on Thursday, December 1st, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a two vehicle traffic accident on Highway 78 near Bagley. Early indications are that during the collision, one of the vehicles flipped multiple times, ejecting the driver. She was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The driver of the second vehicle was also treated at a local hospital for what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. It is currently undetermined if criminal charges will be pursued.
