Pedestrian Struck and Killed

At approximately 9:52 last night, October 5, 2022, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 6500 block of Aaron Aronov Drive in Fairfield to investigate reports of a pedestrian who had been struck.  According to witness reports, the female victim was walking in an unlit area of the roadway when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the event and the Coroner’s Office is attempting to positively identify the victim.
