Rep. Terri A. Sewell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 7th district since 2011, posted several updates on her official X (formerly Twitter) account this week, addressing topics ranging from national economic policy to the anniversary of a significant attack and an upcoming town hall.
On October 6, 2025, Sewell criticized former President Trump’s economic record, writing, “President Trump promised to lower costs. His policies are doing just the opposite.”
The following day, October 7, 2025, she marked the anniversary of the October 7 attack, stating, “My statement marking two years since the horrific October 7 attack.”

Sewell, who was born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1965 and currently resides in Birmingham, has a background that includes degrees from Princeton University, St Hilda’s College at Oxford, and Harvard Law School. She has represented Alabama’s 7th District since succeeding Artur Davis in 2011.
