Rep. Terri A. Sewell, who represents Alabama’s 7th congressional district, has recently addressed constituents through a series of social media posts about local outreach efforts and national economic concerns.
On August 18, 2025, Sewell announced her staff would be available in Marengo County to assist residents with federal matters: “We’re bringing our mobile office to Marengo County this Wednesday! The following day, Sewell commented on rising consumer prices while referencing former President Donald Trump’s economic promises: “President Trump told us he would lower costs on day one. Sewell has served in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Artur Davis as representative for Alabama’s 7th district (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/S001185). She was born in Huntsville in 1965 and currently resides in Birmingham. Her academic background includes degrees from Princeton University (BA), St Hilda’s College at Oxford (MA), and Harvard Law School (JD).
