For a second straight season, Nick Robillard has been named the Conference USA Men’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Robillard graduated in the spring as one of the most decorated golfers in program history. Now the back-to-back C-USA Men’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year award winner, Robillard was also the 2021 Conference USA Golfer of the Year and a First Team All-Conference USA selection, along with earning Second Team All-C-USA this season.

His 71.8 stroke average this season was the eighth lowest in school history, while his career average of 73.2 also ranks him ninth all-time at UAB.

In the classroom, Robillard was a straight-A student who graduated with two degrees. He earned a 3.92 GPA as an undergrad in finance and then earned his MBA while carrying a 4.0 GPA. Robillard was one of five student-athletes on the Conference USA Men’s Golf All-Academic Team each of the last two seasons.

“This is a true measure of the student athlete Nick became during his time at UAB,” said head coach Matt Whall. “It takes a relentless attitude and a dedication to excellence in all areas of your life to achieve this award so to win this for the second straight year is truly special. Nick has left his mark on the program in the best way possible and with his records and achievements like this he sets the standard for the future of UAB and sets goals for future blazers to achieve.”

The C-USA Scholar Athletes of the Year awards, voted on by the conference’s 14 FARs, are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement and service.
