The Samford men’s golf team is in sixth place after the first two rounds of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, according to a March 30 update from Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama.
The tournament features 13 teams. Samford posted a combined score of seven-over-par 575 (281-294) across the opening two rounds. South Alabama leads with a total score of 549 (272-277).
Among individual performances for Samford, Gavin Isbell is tied for 15th place out of an 81-player field with an even-par score of 142 (68-74). Jack Mikesell follows closely, tied for 24th at one-over-par 143 (70-73). Blake Gayles sits tied for 31st at two-over-par with a score of 144 (70-74), while Matthew Smith and Nolen Wolfe are tied for 51st and tied for 57th respectively.
Tiaan Hugo, competing as an individual and not contributing to the team total, is currently tied for 39th place with a four-over-par score of 146 (74-72).
