Samford University’s women’s basketball team will travel to face USC Upstate in a non-conference game. The Bulldogs, who have a 4–8 record against non-conference opponents this season, are looking to recover after an overtime loss to North Alabama.
In the recent game against North Alabama, freshman Kaylee Yarbrough scored a career-high 20 points coming off the bench. Freshman Francie Morris added 12 points and collected six rebounds.
Sophomore Briana Rivera currently leads the nation in three-pointers made and is Samford’s top scorer with 149 points so far this season.
USC Upstate holds a 4-7 record. Their most recent defeat was against UNCG, another member of Samford’s conference, with a score of 70-39. Cassie Gallagher leads the Spartans with an average of 16 points per game. The team is coached by Jason Williams, now in his fourth season.
The matchup will take place in Spartanburg, South Carolina at 1 p.m., and fans can watch on ESPN+ or follow live statistics online.
