Senator Katie Boyd Britt, who represents Alabama in the U.S. Senate, recently addressed a range of topics in a series of posts on her social media account.

On August 28, 2025, Britt highlighted her rapport with fellow senators, stating, “I can always count on my friends @SenTedCruz, @SenJohnKennedy, and @LindseyGrahamSC to bring the one-liners and keep things light. Make sure to tune in to hear behind-the-scenes stories from the Senate and so much more during my sit-down with @katiemillerpod!”

Later that day, she raised concerns about artificial intelligence and online safety for minors. In a post dated August 28, 2025, she wrote: “This week, we found out Chat GPT played a role in the tragic suicide of a teenager. Earlier this month, we learned Meta’s chat bots engaged in ‘sensual’ conversations with children. We can’t sit around and wait for the next twisted incident to happen. The time for action is”. Britt did not elaborate further within the tweet but referenced recent incidents involving technology companies.

In another message posted on August 28, 2025, Britt reiterated her commitment to public service and national security: “No matter how long I serve in the Senate representing the great state of Alabama, my goal is unchanged: delivering results so the next generation can thrive. Nothing is more important than fighting for a safe and strong nation.”

As background, Senator Katie Boyd Britt has been an advocate for children’s online safety during her tenure in Congress. She has publicly called for increased oversight of tech companies following reports of AI tools interacting with minors inappropriately or causing harm.
