Senator Katie Boyd Britt, representing Alabama in the U.S. Senate, recently posted a series of messages on her official X account addressing Constitution Day, the ongoing investigation into the Dobbs decision leak, and extending birthday wishes to a colleague.

On September 17, 2025, Senator Britt marked Constitution Day by stating, “Happy Constitution Day! Today, we commemorate the signing of this document by our Founders that protects our God-given rights. The liberties and principles that inspired generations and made America great will continue to guide us long into the future.”

The following day, September 18, 2025, she commented on the status of the investigation into the leak of the Dobbs Supreme Court decision draft. She wrote, “It’s been over three years since the Dobbs decision was leaked — a blatant attempt to intimidate Supreme Court justices and undermine the process. Earlier this week, @FBIDirectorKash assured me that the Bureau is working to finally get us answers about who is behind this leak.” The Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case resulted in a landmark Supreme Court ruling in June 2022 that overturned Roe v. Wade. The unprecedented leak of its draft opinion in May 2022 led to significant public debate and an internal investigation by federal authorities.

Also on September 18, Senator Britt shared a personal message for a fellow senator from Alabama: “Wishing my friend @sentuberville a very happy birthday! Grateful to work alongside you for the state of Alabama.”

Senator Britt has served as Alabama’s junior senator since January 2023 and is known for her focus on constitutional issues and judicial matters.
