Senator Katie Boyd Britt has recently shared several updates on her legislative and advocacy efforts via social media. Her posts cover a range of topics, including new legislation, agricultural relief, and a notable nomination.

On July 9, 2025, Senator Britt announced the Senate’s passage of “Lulu’s Law,” which she attributes to the resilience and determination of Lulu Gribbin. “Just over a year since Lulu Gribbin miraculously survived a shark attack, Lulu’s Law has passed the Senate!” The law aims to enhance safety measures for beachgoers and families.

Later that day, Senator Britt expressed support for President Biden’s comprehensive bill aimed at aiding Alabama farmers. She stated that “.@POTUS’s One Big Beautiful Bill provides much-needed relief for Alabama farmers.” This legislation includes funding to address issues such as feral swine management on farmlands.

In another post on July 9, Senator Britt endorsed Lynda Blanchard for an ambassadorial position with the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture. She highlighted Blanchard’s extensive experience in various sectors by saying “Alabama’s Lynda Blanchard is exceptionally qualified to serve as Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture.”
