Senator Katie Boyd Britt, a U.S. Senator from Alabama, used her social media platform to comment on recent events in education and celebrate an industry milestone in her state.
On September 15, 2025, Britt supported the Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent’s call for disciplinary action against a teacher. She wrote, “MPS Superintendent Byrd is correct — this teacher should be fired. We can’t allow our children to be indoctrinated by the far left into believing political assassinations are acceptable. It’s un-American.”
Later that day, Britt congratulated Airbus on its ten-year anniversary in Mobile, Alabama. In her post she stated, “Congratulations to Airbus! Proud to join our entire state in celebrating a decade in Mobile. Over the last 10 years, Airbus has reinforced Alabama’s leadership in aerospace and aviation. I look forward to seeing what the next decade of Made in Alabama excellence will bring for” (September 15, 2025).
In another post on September 16, 2025, Britt commented on a separate educational matter involving Enterprise State Community College (ESCC). She said, “Correct decision by ESCC to fire this professor. The indoctrination must end.”
Senator Britt’s remarks reflect ongoing debates over educational content and disciplinary actions within schools and colleges across the United States. These issues have drawn national attention as policymakers and communities discuss the boundaries of classroom speech and ideological influence.
Airbus’s presence in Mobile has been highlighted as a significant contributor to Alabama’s economy over the past decade. The company’s investment is often cited as an example of growth within the state’s aerospace sector.
