Britt serves as U.S. Senator from Alabama and is recognized as the first elected female senator from the state. She holds positions on several Senate committees including appropriations; judiciary; banking housing and urban affairs; and rules and administration while chairing the homeland security appropriations subcommittee (official website). Her legislative priorities include expanding mental health care access, supporting educational options for families, promoting agricultural assistance programs, advocating for social media protections for youth, enhancing national security measures and strengthening economic opportunities within her state. In addition to her current role in Congress she previously served as president of Alabama’s business council.
