Senator Katie Boyd Britt, representing Alabama, shared a series of posts on August 13, 2025, highlighting her support for local educational institutions and national policy initiatives.

In one post, Senator Britt expressed her advocacy for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in Alabama. She wrote on August 13: “Incredibly proud to be a champion for Alabama’s outstanding HBCUs. It was wonderful to be on campus kicking off the school year with @BamaState1867 students and Dr. Ross!”

Later that day, she commented on public safety in Washington, D.C., referencing remarks by Senator Lindsey Graham and expressing support for the President’s efforts. On August 13, she posted: “I completely agree with @LindseyGrahamSC—making Washington, DC, safe and beautiful again is a national priority. I’m proud to support @POTUS’ efforts to restore law and order to our nation’s capital.”

In another statement from the same date, Senator Britt addressed border security issues: “Our border has never been more secure thanks to the leadership of @POTUS.”

Senator Katie Boyd Britt serves as a U.S. Senator from Alabama. Her recent posts reflect ongoing political discussions about federal support for HBCUs—institutions that have played a significant role in higher education access for African Americans—and continuing debates over public safety in major cities as well as border security policies.
