Single Vehicle Crash Claims Life in Eastern Jefferson County

At approximately 8:40 PM on Monday night, February 20th, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Bud Holmes Road, near Tapawingo Road in eastern Jefferson County. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the 47-year-old, male driver deceased at the scene.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded and is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.  The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will confirm a positive identification of the decedent, as well as determine the cause of death.
