The World Games 2022 Unified Command Center (TWGUC) and its partner agencies have established a Joint Information Center (JIC) with representatives from various Local, State and Federal public information professionals.
Due to the international significance and large expected attendance, efficient information flow is critical to effectively meet public information needs. The purpose of the JIC is to generate and distribute timely, accurate, and coordinated public information to keep stakeholders informed; and to protect people, property, and the environment before, during and after a disaster or emergency.
The media may get in contact with the Joint Information Center from the hours of 8am-11pm at 205-254-2956 or email inquiries 24 hours a day at Jic@Birminghamal.gov. Any news releases, emergency information or updates by the Unified Command will also be posted to our Joint Information Center website at www.birminghamal.gov/TWGALERT.
