On Tuesday, Feb. 21, there will be a Mardi Gras parade at 11 a.m. It will start at 14th Street and Morris Avenue near Railroad Park. Organizers are anticipating that the parade will take about 45 minutes. The parade will end at 19th Street North and 9th Avenue North.
Please note that the street closings early on the parade route will start around 10:40 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. As the parade progresses, intersections and streets on the route will be blocked 15 to 20 minutes before it reaches an intersection.
Those parking along the route or at the Boutwell deck should remember that the parade will go down19th Street North, passing the entrance and exit of the Boutwell deck. While the parade is active, no entrances or exits will be allowed for the Boutwell deck off 19th Street North. However, motorists will be able to enter the Boutwell deck off of Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd.
