Of the 672,550 citizens living in Jefferson County in 2021, 77% were old enough to vote, equating to 517,754 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 240,652 were male, constituting 46.5%, and 277,102 were female, making up 53.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Jefferson County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.5%.
