U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today celebrated a newly announced $12.8 million investment from the Department of Transportation (DOT) for the Huntsville International Airport. These federal funds are from the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act as part of the Airport Improvement Program.

“This $12.8 million for improving the Huntsville International Airport is a huge win for Alabamians and Americans who fly into our great state. This critical infrastructure improvement is a strategic and responsible investment for our state and children’s future,” said Senator Britt. “I am proud to have supported legislation securing funding to empower economic development and grow opportunity in our local communities. I will continue to work tirelessly to return Alabamians’ hard-earned taxpayer dollars back to our state.”
