In an initial tweet posted at 13:13 UTC, Sewell expressed her support for those affected by the severe weather conditions in Plantersville. She stated, “Our prayers are with the residents of Plantersville who experienced severe storms overnight. We remain in touch with state and local officials as damage assessments are ongoing this morning. Praying for all those impacted by this severe weather.”

Later that day, at 15:17 UTC, Sewell extended her condolences to the families of two Dallas County residents who lost their lives due to the storms in Plantersville. She wrote, “Our heartfelt prayers go out to the loved ones of the 2 Dallas County residents who lost their lives in the severe storms in Plantersville.”

Continuing her communication with state and local emergency management officials, Rep. Sewell emphasized her ongoing efforts to stay informed about damage assessments. In another tweet posted at 15:17 UTC, she remarked, “I remain in constant contact with state and local EMA officials as they continue their damage assessments. May God comfort those impacted by the storms and his grace be a blessing to us all.”
