U.S. Representative Terri A. Sewell, who has represented Alabama’s 7th District in Congress since 2011, addressed several issues on her social media account on October 6, 2025, including a mass shooting in Montgomery and concerns about rising health care premiums.
In a post made at 16:00 UTC, Sewell expressed condolences to those affected by recent violence in Montgomery: “My heart goes out to the entire Montgomery community in the aftermath of Saturday night’s mass shooting. I’m praying for the families of the two lives lost and all those injured. This senseless violence is completely unacceptable. As law enforcement work to hold the” (October 6, 2025).
Later that day at 16:30 UTC, she commented on potential increases in Virginia’s monthly health care premiums: “Before: $380. After: $660. That’s what could soon happen to Virginia’s monthly health care premiums. Republicans created this mess—they need to work with us to fix it!” (October 6, 2025).
