On December 11, 2024, Rep. Sewell announced that her team would hold Mobile Office Hours in Choctaw County on December 17. She stated, “Join Team Sewell for Mobile Office Hours next Tuesday, Dec. 17 in Choctaw County! My staff will be available to assist with casework, benefits, and other federal matters.”

The following day, on December 12, Rep. Sewell shared significant news regarding funding for job training programs in Birmingham. She posted, “BIG NEWS: @HousingBham was awarded $1.5 million by @USDOL to expand job training and educational services for our youth! This award will help us build pathways to career-readiness while providing opportunities for young people to give back to their communities.”

Later that same day, Rep. Sewell expressed pride in her role within the House Armed Services Committee as part of The Black Caucus. She wrote, “Proud to serve alongside my colleagues of the @TheBlackCaucus on the House Armed Services Committee!”
