UAB seniors Olivia Chychrun, Jasmine Haas, and Olivia Stant were named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league announced on Apr. 17. The three selections represent the highest number from any program in the conference this year.
The recognition highlights both academic and athletic achievements for student-athletes who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and serve as starters or key reserves.
Chychrun, graduating with a degree in economics and holding a 3.97 GPA, is a three-time All-Academic Team honoree and seven-time Presidential Honors recipient. She has compiled a 24-9 record in 2026 and holds multiple program records for wins across several courts. After graduation, she plans to attend Mississippi State University for graduate studies in accounting.
Haas majors in nursing with a 3.28 GPA and will also graduate this spring. She leads the program all-time in career wins, Court 1 victories, duo wins, and single-season victories. Haas earned AVCA Top Flight Award honors after setting a record with 26 wins last season and was recognized as Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Year in 2023. Her future plans include working as an emergency department nurse at Mercy Hospital Anderson alongside her mother before exploring travel nursing opportunities.
Stant maintains a 3.93 GPA as a kinesiology major and is second all-time at UAB with 80 career wins. She holds additional program records for single-season victories and duo performances while being honored twice on both the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Academic Medal lists. Stant was also named American Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025; she will use her final year of eligibility to compete at Mississippi State while pursuing physical therapy school.
