The doubles team of Hailey Troup and Eleni Liakonis was recognized on Apr. 15 when the Southern Conference announced its postseason women’s tennis awards.

This recognition is important as it highlights the achievements of student-athletes within the conference and brings attention to their performance during the season.

Troup and Liakonis were selected for the conference’s second team in doubles after posting a record of 15 wins and 3 losses, including an undefeated mark of 4-0 in league matches. Their strong performance contributed significantly to their team’s efforts throughout the season.

Samford finished its regular season with an overall record of 11-10, going 3-4 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are seeded fifth in this week’s SoCon Tournament and are scheduled to face No. 4 seed Wofford in the first round on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Central Time.
