UAB Athletics announced on Apr. 29 that an updated section map for Bartow Arena is now available as the venue prepares for major renovations starting next month.

The update comes as part of planned improvements to Bartow Arena, which will include new hospitality amenities, expanded courtside seating, enhanced seating for Gang Green, and a new floor-level retractable seating system designed to bring spectators closer to the court. The changes are intended to improve the experience for fans attending UAB men’s basketball games.

With construction set to begin after Spring 2026 Commencement ceremonies and completion expected by October 2026 in time for the 2026-27 basketball season, UAB Athletics said there will be a reseating process tied to the priority selection process. According to the announcement, patrons will receive personal appointment times based on their standing in the Blazer Boosters Priority Points System, which takes into account all support completed by June 30, 2026.

Season ticket holders are encouraged to secure their seats before the June deadline in order to participate fully in seat and parking selection once renovations are complete. Additional information about tickets and arena updates is available through UAB Athletics’ official channels.

In addition to facility upgrades, UAB highlighted its Blazer Made initiative supporting student-athletes with resources focused on personal development, leadership training, and career preparedness. Supporters can learn more about contributing through Blazer Boosters or by visiting official program sites.
