Former Hewitt-Trussville High School standout Baker Green helped lead his college team, the West Alabama Tigers, to a 4-0 victory over the Valdosta State Blazers in NCAA Division II baseball on Friday, March 6, at 6 p.m.

The contest was held at Tartt Field and marked the first meeting between the teams for the season.

Green threw all nine innings on the mound and tallied two strikeouts.

The Tigers will take on Valdosta State Blazers again at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Tartt Field.
