95 percent of applicants to Herzing University-Birmingham were admitted for fall 2018

At Herzing University-Birmingham, 76 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 79 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Birmingham enrolled 571 students in fall 2018, including 551 in undergraduate and 20 in graduate programs, data shows. 18.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

92 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (60 percent) and white (28 percent).

The school admitted 95 percent of the 80 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 51 percent enrolled.
