Census Bureau: More women than men in Jefferson County in 2019

Of the 659,680 people living in Jefferson County in 2019, 52.7 percent (347,647) were women and 47.3 percent (312,033) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Jefferson Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 213,619-to-193,099. In the 65 and over age range, there were 59,680 females and 42,105 males.
