U.S. Senator Katie Britt has been honored with the "Fight for Good" award by the Salvation Army. This accolade is given to national leaders who advocate for legislation that aligns with the Salvation Army's mission of aiding vulnerable populations in the United States.

"I am honored to receive the ‘Fight for Good’ award from the Salvation Army, one of many outstanding faith-based organizations across our state and nation dedicated to serving those in need. Their mission goes hand in hand with my commitment to be a voice for the voiceless and a champion for vulnerable Americans. I’m especially grateful for Alabama’s local Salvation Army units for their tireless efforts and impactful work within our communities," stated Senator Britt.

The Fight for Good Awards have been presented since 2018 to federal policymakers who show exceptional leadership and support federal policies that advance The Salvation Army's mission to alleviate poverty across the country. Senator Britt was nominated by local Salvation Army units in Alabama due to her leadership in the U.S. Senate and her support of policy priorities that further The Salvation Army's efforts.
