Construction Worker Killed in Workplace Accident

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on March 10.

Around 6:50 AM, this morning, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding an accident that occurred at a construction site in the Innsbrook subdivision of Pinson.  Upon arrival, it appeared that the supports of a concrete truck with a boom extension, sunk into the mud, causing the extension to swing around and strike a worker at the scene.  The 42-year-old, male worker was pronounced dead at the scene.  Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives are on the scene, and are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this accident.
