The effects of COVID are still lingering in the form of depression, anxiety, fear and much more. In this post-pandemic world, how can the Church be a place for healing?
Celebrate Recovery, or "CR," is a ministry program designed to help those struggling with a hurt, pain or addiction of any kind - including post-pandemic issues. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for people to find community and freedom from the issues that control their lives. CR often reaches people who do not feel comfortable attending church but often find a church community through this ministry.
The Hope for Recovery event on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Latham UMC in Huntsville, will be an in-depth informational meeting for both pastors and laity and for churches that currently have a CR ministry or are interested in learning more about starting a CR ministry. There will be a refresher course for existing CRs covering T.E.A.M. and breakout sessions for Latino Ministry. Speakers for this event include Neal Fuller, Lucy Morales, Raul Dominguez, Deborah Timmons and Rodney Shammery.
