U.S. Senator Katie Britt recently visited Marion Military Institute (MMI) in Alabama, where she addressed cadets as part of the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership Speaker Series. MMI is recognized as the oldest of four military junior colleges in the United States and is a member of the Alabama Community College System.

The Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership at MMI aims to enhance leadership education, training, and character development among its Corps of Cadets. This initiative supports further growth at four-year universities, U.S. service academies, and careers in both military and civilian sectors. The Distinguished Speaker Series offers cadets a chance to learn from leaders across various fields.

During her visit to Perry County, Senator Britt engaged with MMI leadership including President Col. David J. Mollahan, U.S. Marine Corps (ret.), and Director of the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership, Col. Ryan Link U.S. Air Force (ret.). She also delivered remarks to the cadets.

“It was an honor to speak to the outstanding men and women attending Marion Military Institute,” said Senator Britt.“The Anthony J. Rane Center at MMI is the kind of program that forms leaders, molds character, and prepares young people to make a positive impact on our country. I’m grateful for the commitment to service exhibited by these cadets and the leadership at MMI—America’s future is brighter because of these dedicated Alabamians.”
