U.S. Senator Katie Britt has expressed her support following the unanimous Senate confirmation of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. The vote concluded with a 99-0 decision, marking Rubio as the first cabinet member confirmed under President Trump's administration.

In her statement, Senator Britt emphasized the significance of this confirmation for the Trump administration's agenda. "Senate Republicans immediately got to work putting President Donald Trump’s cabinet in place with the unanimous confirmation of my friend, Secretary of State Marco Rubio," she said. Britt described Rubio as a crucial component of the national security team tasked with executing Trump's "peace through strength doctrine."

Britt further noted her enthusiasm for continuing to support other nominees and working collaboratively in the Senate to achieve results that benefit American citizens. "I was proud to support Marco’s confirmation, and I look forward to getting the rest of President Trump’s team in place quickly," she added.
