Senator Tim Scott expressed concern over the rise of antisemitism in educational institutions, stating, "Our nation’s institutions of higher learning have become hotbeds of antisemitism, especially in the wake of the brutal attacks against Israel and innocent civilians by Hamas and Iran." He stressed the importance of equipping the Department of Education with the necessary resources to combat this hatred.
Senator Bob Casey also voiced his support for the bill, emphasizing the need to protect Jewish students on college campuses amidst the surge in antisemitic incidents following the terrorist attack by Hamas.
